Wooden spurtles or porridge stirring sticks
Porridge is considered a health food these days but who wants lumpy porridge? The Scots have the right idea - ditch the spoon and swap it for a spurtle. We make ours traditionally on a pole lathe and finish them with pre-oxidised linseed oil. Just remember folk law has it that you should stir with your right hand and clockwise.
